Deep in the jungles of Nepal, village communities have been weaving a unique type of wild nettle plant for thousands of years. This strong natural fiber is woven by women as their husbands work labor jobs overseas and their children play in the surrounding foothills.
Each step, from the harvesting of the plant to the spinning and weaving of the yarn is carried out without any electricity or chemicals in two remote villages at the base of the Himalayas before traveling by donkey, porter and plane to our workshops.
In collaboration with our partner weavers, we've developed a herringbone and a classic canvas weave for this season's limited collection.
